New Species of Scalibregmatidae (Annelida) from Slope and Abyssal Depths off Eastern Australia

James A. Blake

Summary: Seven new species of Scalibregmatidae were discovered from deep waters off the east coast of Australia. These species were collected during the RV Investigator voyage IN2017_V03 using a Brenke sledge and 0.25 m2 box core. The study revealed that Scalibregmatidae have not been previously described from deep water off Australia. The new species belong to the genera Asclerocheilus, Axiokebuita, Oligobregma, and Pseudoscalibregma, and were compared with known congeners.
