Harnessing Deep Neural Networks to Analyze Multi-Channel Anion Sensing Characteristics of a Ru(II)-Pyrazolyl-Bis(Benzimidazole) Complex

Sourav Deb et al.

Summary: The anion-responsive conduct of a Ru(II)-bipyridine complex incorporating pyrazolyl-bis(benzimidazole) ligand was investigated in acetonitrile and water using absorption and emission spectroscopy and square-wave voltammetry. The photo-redox behavior of the complex was significantly altered in the presence of selected anions, with emission being quenched in the off-state. The complex functions as an anion- and acid-responsive molecular switch, and its anion sensing behavior was thoroughly analyzed using neural network based deep learning methodologies.

Syntheses, characterization of three new cobalt(II) complexes with 2-phenylsuccinic acid and flexible bis(imidazole) linkers

Figen Arslan Bicer et al.

Summary: Three coordination polymers with different crystal structures were synthesized in this study, with two of them in monoclinic system and another in triclinic system. The complexes formed various 2D layer structures through different bridging modes, and the adjacent 2D layers were connected through different interactions to form a 3D supramolecular network. The thermal properties of the compounds were also investigated.

Spin crossover in iron(II) complexes with new ligand 2,6-bis (4,5-dimethyl-1H-imidazole-2-yl)pyridine

Alina D. Ivanova et al.

Summary: Iron(II) coordination compounds containing a new ligand have been synthesized and studied using various techniques. The structure of a copper(II) complex with the new ligand has also been determined. The results show that these compounds undergo high-temperature spin crossover within a certain temperature range.

Multifunctional Zr-MOF Based on Bisimidazole Tetracarboxylic Acid for pH Sensing and Photoreduction of Cr(VI)

Xiaoning Wang et al.

Summary: A new luminescent zirconium MOF, Zr-BBI, was successfully constructed using a rationally designed functionalized bisimidazole tetracarboxylic acid ligand, exhibiting high stabilities, intense fluorescent emission, and good fluorescence detection performance towards Cr2O72-. Zr-BBI also serves as a catalyst for efficient photoreduction of Cr(VI) to Cr(III) under visible light, with enhanced photocatalytic efficiency by introducing a hole scavenger. These results demonstrate the feasibility of enhancing photocatalytic activity by introducing specific functional groups in MOF frameworks.

Bis-Imidazole Methane Ligated Ruthenium(II) Complexes: Synthesis, Characterization, and Catalytic Activity for Hydrogen Production from Formic Acid in Water

Soumyadip Patra et al.

Summary: A series of half sandwich arene-ruthenium complexes containing bis-imidazole methane-based ligands were synthesized and tested for hydrogen production from formic acid in aqueous medium. Among the complexes investigated, Ru(II) coordinated with a 4-methoxyphenyl substituted bis-imidazole methane ligand exhibited the highest catalytic turnover and efficiency for formic acid dehydrogenation in water.
