3D Printed Wesselsite Nanosheets Functionalized Scaffold Facilitates NIR-II Photothermal Therapy and Vascularized Bone Regeneration

Summary: This study presents a novel multifunctional bone scaffold integrating a NIR-II photothermal conversion agent with tremendous bioactivity with polycaprolactone via 3D printing. The scaffold triggers osteosarcoma ablation and promotes cellular proliferation and osteogenic differentiation, leading to enhanced vascularized bone regeneration in vivo. This research provides a new approach for the development of therapeutic bioceramic-based multifunctional bone scaffolds for repairing tumor-induced bone defects.
