Dynamics of gyrotactic microorganisms for modified Eyring Powell nanofluid flow with bioconvection and nonlinear radiation aspects

Waqar Azeem Khan

Summary: This study investigates the characteristics of mixed convection for modified Eyring Powell fluid using Buongiorno's relation of nanofluid. The analysis considers gyrotactic micro-organisms and bioconvection. Nonlinear radiation and heat sink source are incorporated in the energy expression. Convective heat transportation analysis and no mass flux relations are included in the modeling. The governing system simplifies the rheological expression and solves the transformed ODEs using the bvp4c technique. Important physical parameters are elaborated through graphs, discussing gradients of microorganisms and temperature against emerging parameters.

Performance of magnetic dipole contribution on ferromagnetic non-Newtonian radiative MHD blood flow: An application of biotechnology and medical sciences

G. Dharmaiah et al.

Summary: This study numerically investigates the flow of ferromagnetic liquid blood with Casson flow over a stretching region. The domain is influenced by radiation, blood flow velocity, and thermal slip conditions. The governing equations for the impenetrable magneto-dynamic liquid are reduced to ordinary differential equations (ODEs) using the similarity translation technique. The ODEs are then solved using a fourth-order R-K scheme.

Significance of MHD Cross nanofluid analysis near a stretched surface with double stratification and activation energy

T. Salahuddin et al.

Summary: This paper analyzes the flow of a 2-D cross fluid model over a linearly stretched sheet with mass and heat transmission. Various factors such as MHD flow, stagnation point, double stratification, heat generation, radiation effect, nanofluid flow, activation energy, and mass diffusion are considered. The effects of different parameters on the velocity, concentration, and energy fields are examined using numerical techniques. The results show that the velocity increases with the Weissenberg number but decreases with the magnetic parameter. The heat field improves with certain factors while reverse results are observed due to others. The concentration is influenced by different parameters, leading to both increases and decreases.

Impact of ferromagnetic nanoparticles on magnetized Eyring-Powell nanofluid flow subject to magnetic dipole

M. Tabrez et al.

Summary: Due to recent advancements in technologies and nanoscience, research focused on nanofluid because of its extensive use in many industrial as well as manufacturing processes. Nanotechnology is widely utilized in many photovoltaic devices, mini-computers, bio-medical apparatus, electronic instruments, cooling and heating of metallic plates, etc. The basic aim of this work is to explore the impact of ferromagnetic nanomaterial on 2-D Eyring-Powell fluid flow, considering characteristics of viscous dissipation and Brownian movement. Suitable similarity transformations are used to obtain the nonlinear ODEs, which are then solved using the Bvp4c scheme. The influences of various parameters on the velocity, temperature, and concentration fields are investigated and analyzed graphically. It is observed that the magnetic parameter reduces the velocity profile while deteriorating against the Eyring-Powell fluid parameter. On the other hand, the thermophoresis parameter enhances the temperature profile but shows an opposite behavior for concentration.

Thermal performance analysis of magnetized convectively heated ferromagnetic nanoparticles for radiative cross nanofluid flow

I. Hussain et al.

Summary: The aim of this study is to investigate the innovative flow of 2D ferrofluid passing over a stretched surface with a magnetic dipole effect. The research focuses on the common use of this issue in biomedical and engineering applications, specifically in drug targeting systems under magnetic effects. By utilizing suitable similarity variables, the impacts of magnetic dipole and radiation parameter on the flow of ferromagnetic cross fluid in a stretched region are thoroughly examined, resulting in non-linear ODEs. The desired ODEs are numerically solved using the RK fifth-order method with the shooting scheme. The effects of ferromagnetic interaction, viscous dissipation, Curie temperature, and Buongiorno parameters on velocity, temperature, and concentration fields are investigated. Various parameters related to velocity, mass transfer, and thermal gradients are also considered and visually analyzed. The temperature of the ferromagnetic fluid increases with the increase in ferrohydrodynamics interaction and Curie temperature parameters. On the other hand, the concentration of ferrofluid exhibits an opposite tendency against the parameters of thermophoresis and Brownian motion. The extensive application prospects of magnetized nanofluids have attracted interest from engineers and researchers due to the notable advantages of nanofluids over ordinary fluids.

Modeling of modified Eyring-Powell nanofluid flow subject to thermal-solutal stratification phenomenon

Waqar Azeem Khan

Summary: Population growth and industrialization have caused serious problems such as climate change, fossil fuel shortages, energy crisis, and environmental issues, which are the main risks for human survival. Researchers are interested in nanofluids as they have higher thermal conductivity and can be effective heat transfer mediums. This article examines the impact of magnetized flow on modified Eyring-Powell nanofluids, and introduces a double stratification phenomenon for heat and mass transportation analysis. The obtained results show that the velocity of the nanofluid has opposite behaviors based on the magnetic and fluid parameters, and the temperature of the nanofluid is intensified by certain parameters such as radiation, thermophoresis, thermal Biot number, and magnetic parameters. The concentration of the nanofluid decreases with larger solutal Biot number and Brownian moment parameter, while the heat transportation rate increases with larger Pr.

Non-similar analysis of the Cattaneo-Christov model in MHD second-grade nanofluid flow with Soret and Dufour effects

Faisal Shah et al.

Summary: The influences of Soret and Dufour effects on MHD second grade nanofluid flow on a stretchable Riga surface are investigated. The CC method is used to predict heat and mass transport, considering thermal radiation and thermal solutal stratification effects. The effects of heat generation, mixed convection, thermophoresis, and Brownian motion are included. Temperature-dependent thermal conductivity and concentration-dependent mass diffusivity are adopted. Non-similar analysis is organized and the OHAM approach is used to compute the solutions. The outcomes of influential variables on interesting quantities are outlined, showing that velocity enhances for higher values of buoyancy parameter and mixed convection parameters, and temperature decays for the stratification parameter but opposite for the Dufour number.
