Propylene Glycol Directed Synthesis of Silver Nanowires for Transparent Conducting Electrode Application

Mohd Mustaqim Rosli et al.

Summary: Silver nanowires (AgNWs) are potential transparent conductive electrodes (TCEs) due to their excellent electrical conductivity and transparency. This study demonstrates a simple method to prepare AgNWs and AgNWs TCEs using a one-pot method and spin-coating. The resulting AgNWs thin film electrode exhibits low sheet resistance and high optical transmittance, making it suitable for various applications.

A unified bond energy model for size-dependent melting temperature of freestanding and embedded nanomaterials

Mohammad Amin Jabbareh

Summary: The bond energy model and a semi-empirical relationship were developed to predict the melting temperature of nanoparticles and nanowires. The study found that the material parameter in the bond energy model can vary for different nanoparticles, and it is correlated with the lattice parameter mismatch in the case of embedded nanoparticles.
