Voltage-Controlled Divergent Cascade of Electrochemical Reactions for Characterization of Lipids at Multiple Isomer Levels Using Mass Spectrometry

Shuli Tang et al.

Summary: In this study, we cascaded two electrochemical reactions in nanoelectrospray and achieved switching at different voltages. This allowed us to identify lipid structural isomers at multiple levels using mass spectrometry, and we demonstrated its application in analyzing healthy and cancerous samples.

Rapid Imaging of Unsaturated Lipids at an Isomeric Level Achieved by Controllable Oxidation

Jian Zhang et al.

Summary: The study proposes a method for rapid imaging of unsaturated lipids at an isomeric level, which can be applied in the research of diseases such as cancer. This method allows tissue sections to be scanned directly for lipid imaging within 10 minutes, showing distributional differences in different regions.

Unsaturated lipid isomeric imaging based on the Paterno-Buchi reaction in the solid phase in ambient conditions

Jian Zhang et al.

Summary: The development of unsaturated lipid isomeric imaging based on the Patern`o-Buchi (PB) reaction has significantly improved in recent years. A method of PB reaction in the solid phase in ambient conditions was developed in this paper, combined with air-flow-assisted desorption electrospray ionisation mass spectrometry (AFADESI-MS) to achieve in situ imaging of lipids at an isomeric level. This method simplifies reaction conditions in the imaging process and may be useful for future studies on lipid isomers in tissues.
