Superconductivity and paramagnetism in Cr-containing tetragonal high-entropy alloys

Bin Liu et al.

Summary: The high-entropy alloys Ta10Mo35-xCrxRe35Ru20 exhibit BCS-like superconductivity and paramagnetic behavior at low temperatures due to the magnetic moment of Cr. The rate of Tc reduction with increasing Cr content is significantly lower compared to other superconductors, suggesting weak pair breaking by the Cr-3d electrons in HEA superconductors.

Structural evolution and superconductivity tuned by valence electron concentration in the Nb-Mo-Re-Ru-Rh high-entropy alloys

Bin Liu et al.

Summary: The crystal structure and physical properties of two different types of high-entropy alloys have been studied, both showing superconducting behavior with a decreasing critical transition temperature as the valence electron concentration increases. The hcp structured high-entropy alloys exhibit higher superconducting transition temperatures compared to their alpha-Mn counterparts.
