Adaptive tacholess order tracking method based on generalized linear chirplet transform and its application for bearing fault diagnosis

Rongkai Duan et al.

Summary: This article proposes two improved methods of generalized linear chirplet transform (GLCT) for bearing fault diagnosis. The first method uses scale-space to adaptively set an important parameter to deal with monotonous speed changes, while the second method introduces grey wolf optimizer (GWO) and Gini index to search for the optimal parameters of GLCT without prior knowledge for non-monotonous speed changes. These methods can directly extract the instantaneous rotating frequency from vibration signal and perform fault diagnosis through the steps of resampling the raw signal based on the rotating frequency, morphological filtering, and extracting fault characteristics order.

Kernel ridge regression-based chirplet transform for non-stationary signal analysis and its application in machine fault detection under varying speed conditions

Chuancang Ding et al.

Summary: This article introduces a method called kernel ridge regression-based chirplet transform (KRR-CT) for analyzing non-stationary signals. The KRR-CT can provide a stable solution, generate an energy concentrated TF plane, and provide more precise IF information even in the presence of noise. The proposed iterative algorithm shows good performance in machine fault detection.

Yueyang Li et al.

Summary: In this study, a new TFA post-processing tool called local maximum high order time iterative synchrosqueezing (LHTIS) method is proposed to improve the performance of time-frequency analysis. By reassigning the signal and maximizing the local TF coefficients, the TF resolution and anti-noise property can be enhanced.

Modulation signal bispectrum with optimized wavelet packet denoising for rolling bearing fault diagnosis

Junchao Guo et al.

Summary: This article proposes a novel fault diagnosis scheme based on optimized wavelet packet denoising and modulation signal bispectrum to accurately diagnose bearing faults by enhancing transient impulses with wavelet packet denoising and demodulating modulation signal bispectrum. The method effectively purifies the signal and extracts the modulation components contained in the transient impulses, determining the type of bearing faults with superior performance in extracting the fault feature of incipient defects on different bearing components compared to other methods.

Summary: The paper introduces a new TFA method, SSCET, which effectively reveals the time-varying features by using frequency operators of spline-kernelled SCT. Utilizing a binary TF image separation strategy to extract time-varying features of signals, the method shows effectiveness in energy concentration and noise resistance.
