Development of a NIR iridium(III) complex for self-calibrated and luminogenic detection of boron trifluoride

Chuankai Lin et al.

Summary: In this study, a NIR iridium(III)-based probe was developed for sensitive, rapid and accurate detection of BF3. The probe exhibited dual emission and a large Stokes shift, showing strong luminescence enhancement specifically to BF3. Additionally, the probe had a fast response time and showed obvious visual changes under UV irradiation. The findings suggest that this study is of significance for the development of sensitive and on-site BF3 sensing toolkits.
