Control of the phase evolution of kesterite by tuning of the selenium partial pressure for solar cells with 13.8% certified efficiency

Jiazheng Zhou et al.

Summary: The phase evolution during selenization of CZTSSe is controlled to improve efficiency of solar cells. By applying positive pressure in the reaction chamber, the formation of secondary phases is prevented, resulting in high-crystallinity kesterite films. Solar cells with 13.8% certified efficiency are achieved. This work provides insights into the phase evolution and mechanism of kesterite absorbers.
