Zeolite imidazolate framework-11 for efficient removal of Bromocresol Green in aqueous solution, isotherm kinetics, and thermodynamic studies

Rachid Lamari et al.

Summary: In this study, synthesized ZIF-11 material was used to effectively remove BCG from aqueous solutions with a maximum removal rate of 89%. The ZIF-11 material exhibited highly porous, irregular shapes, and high thermal stability. The adsorption data correlated well with Langmuir and Temkin models, and the adsorption kinetics followed pseudo-second-order and intraparticle diffusion models.

Summary: The study focuses on using synthesized ZIF-8 as an adsorbent to remove 2,4-DCP from aqueous solutions, with optimal conditions determined in pH 9 solutions and at 323 K. The Langmuir model and pseudo-second-order equation were found to best describe adsorption isotherm and kinetic data, with a maximum adsorption capacity of 107.07 mg/g achieved at these conditions.
