Ultrasensitive photoelectrochemical immunosensor based on Dual-Photosensitive electrodes

Feng Jiang et al.

Summary: In this study, a photoelectrochemical immunosensor based on dual-photosensitive electrodes was developed for detecting cardiac troponin I (cTnI). The separation of photoanode and biometric events was achieved, resulting in improved stability of the immunosensor. The attraction of photogenerated electrons from the photoanode was increased by the abundant holes of the photocathode, leading to enhanced photoelectric response and sensitivity of the immunosensor. The controllable-synthesis uncomplicated photoelectric material satisfied the principle of electrode modification simplicity and was more conducive to practical application. The immunosensor operated efficiently without bias voltage and provided quantitative readout photocurrent for cTnI concentration.
