Possible shape coexistence in odd-A Ne isotopes and the impurity effects of Λ hyperons

Qian-Kun Sun et al.

Summary: This study explores the shape evolution and possible shape coexistence in odd-A Ne isotopes using the multidimensionally constrained relativistic-mean-field (MDC-RMF) model. The effects of s(Lambda) and p(Lambda) hyperons on the nuclear shape, energy, size, and density distribution are investigated. It is found that Ne-27, Ne-29 exhibit shape coexistence, while Ne-31 shows a triple shape coexistence. The impurity effects of Lambda hyperons result in a more spherical nuclear shape for s(Lambda) hyperon, a more prolate shape for p(Lambda) hyperon in the 1/2(-)[110] orbital, and an oblate shape for p(Lambda) hyperon in the 3/2(-)[101] orbital.

Study of the deformed halo nucleus 31Ne with Glauber model based on microscopic self-consistent structures

Shi-Yi Zhong et al.

Summary: This study combines self-consistent structure and reaction theories to investigate the exotic deformed nucleus Ne-31. The results demonstrate that deformation and pairing correlations lead to a halo structure in Ne-31. By using the predicted wave functions and density distributions, the observables of neutron-rich neon isotopes were studied, showing good agreement with experimental data.

Nucleon momentum distributions from inclusive electron scattering with superscaling analysis

Tongqi Liang et al.

Summary: Nucleon momentum distributions are crucial for probing nuclear structures, providing valuable information on mean-field structures and short-range correlations. New nucleon momentum distributions for deuteron, He-3, He-4, Be-9, and C-12 have been reported in this paper, extracted directly from high-precision experimental data based on psi' scaling. The psi'-scaling method provides reasonable results in agreement with state-of-the-art ab initio calculations, up to 3.5 fm(-1), making these distributions useful references for future studies of nuclear structures.

Density fluctuations in intermediate-energy heavy-ion collisions

Cong Liu et al.

Summary: Within the studied energy range of 20 to 190 MeV/nucleon, we find evidence of a liquid-gas phase transition occurring around 70 MeV/nucleon in Xe-129 + Sn-119 collisions. The observed Fisher parameter, information entropy, and multiplicity of intermediate-mass fragments support this conclusion.

Effects of nucleon-nucleon short-range correlations on inclusive electron scattering

Qinglin Niu et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the nucleon-nucleon short-range correlation (NN-SRC) and its influence on nuclear momentum distributions. The nuclear spectral functions are developed to include NN-SRC, and the inclusive electron scattering cross sections are calculated. It is found that the scattering cross sections not only reflect the mean-field structure, but also provide information about NN-SRC.

Nucleon momentum distribution of 56Fe from the axially deformed relativistic mean-field model with nucleon-nucleon correlations

Xuezhi Wang et al.

Summary: The study investigates the nucleon momentum distribution of Fe-56 using the axially deformed relativistic mean-field model and introduces the effects of nucleon-nucleon correlations based on phenomenological models. The research shows that the NMD is affected by both deformation and NN correlation effects in different momentum regions, and analyzes the relativistic effects on nuclear structures.

Electron-ion collider in China

Daniele P. Anderle et al.

Summary: The EicC project in China proposes to construct an Electron-ion collider based on an upgraded heavy-ion accelerator, providing highly polarized electrons and protons with variable center of mass energies. The main goals include precise measurements of nucleon structure, partonic structure of nuclei, interaction with nuclear environment, and exotic states with heavy flavor quark contents. A hermetical detector system with cutting-edge technologies will be constructed to achieve these physics goals.

Summary: This paper conducts comparative studies on cluster structure by combining nuclear structure models with electron scattering theory. The results show that the effects of nuclear cluster structure can be revealed through calculations of Coulomb form factors and inclusive cross sections. The findings suggest a new approach to analyze cluster configurations and guide future electron scattering experiments.
