Do People With Schizophrenia Enjoy Social Activities as Much as Everyone Else? A Meta-analysis of Consummatory Social Pleasure

Summary: A meta-analysis of 26 studies suggests that individuals with schizophrenia exhibit a small deficit in consummatory social pleasure, but this deficit is smaller than anticipated and retrospective pleasure deficits. The quality of daily social experiences may play a role in this reduced pleasure rather than a complete impairment in social pleasure capacity.
