Treatment should be tailored to individual patients, considering their goals of care, and balancing side effects with efficacy.

Efficacy and safety of oral pulmonary vasodilators in pulmonary veno-occlusive disease

Summary: This study retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 15 patients with PVOD/PCH treated with oral pulmonary vasodilators, and found that treatment improved functional class and decreased pulmonary arterial pressure and pulmonary vascular resistance. Some patients experienced pulmonary edema during treatment, but overall prognosis was good. Additionally, systemic sclerosis did not adversely affect the clinical outcomes of PVOD/PCH.
