Investigation of radiation-induced electron paramagnetic resonance signal of an eggshell after electron beam irradiation

R. A. Vazirov et al.

Summary: The development of radiation processing methods for food and agricultural products has increased the demand for control methods in processing and circulation. ESR spectrometry, a promising method for monitoring and detection, has been used to control products containing bones, cellulose, and crystalline sugar. This research presents the experimental results and comparative analysis of the radiation-induced ESR signal and kinetics of radicals in eggshells.

Low-energy electron beam has severe impact on seedling development compared to cold atmospheric pressure plasma

A. Waskow et al.

Summary: The study compared the effects of cold atmospheric-pressure plasma and low-energy electron beam on seed decontamination. Results showed that cold plasma had higher efficiency in microbial inactivation on seeds and accelerated seed germination, while low-energy electron beam treatment may cause root abnormalities in seedlings.
