The fundamental dimension-morphology-function relationship is elucidated, and the challenges and perspectives of dimension design and morphology control over MOF-derived MAMs are presented.

A novel high-efficient MOFs-based corrosion inhibitor for the reinforcing steel in cement extract

Summary: This study investigates the inhibition effect of zeolitic imidazolate framework (ZIF-8) corrosion inhibitor for reinforced concrete. The ZIF-8 inhibitor was found to adsorb efficiently on the reinforcement surface, reducing the dissolution of the reinforcement and significantly increasing inhibition efficiency (>95%). The corrosion initiation of the reinforcement was significantly delayed, and the inhibition efficiency remained at 87.8% after 168 hours.

Ceria particles synthesized via combustion method to inspire active protection for epoxy coating on mild steel
