On the extreme non-Arens regularity of Banach algebras

Summary: The paper demonstrates that l1-bases approximating upper and lower triangles of products of elements in the algebra produce functionals that are not weakly almost periodic, leading to criteria for determining extreme non-Arens regularity of Banach algebras. It is found that bounded approximate identities and bounded nets converging to invariance are main tools behind known constructions of non-Arens regular algebras. These criteria can be applied to major algebras in harmonic analysis.
