Modeling improvements in ileal digestible amino acids by a novel consensus bacterial 6-phytase variant in broilers

Y. Dersjant-Li et al.

Summary: This study investigated the effect of a novel consensus bacterial 6-phytase variant on the apparent ileal digestibility of amino acids in broilers. Using data from multiple trials and locations, a model was developed to accurately predict the impact of the phytase on the digestible amino acid content in the diet. The results demonstrated consistent improvements in the digestibility of amino acids by the phytase, highlighting its potential in commercial feed formulations.

Growth performance, carcass and meat quality, bone strength, and immune response of broilers fed low-calcium diets supplemented with marine mineral complex and phytase

Zafer Hakami et al.

Summary: The study found that partially substituting limestone with CeltiCal can improve growth efficiency, carcass traits, meat quality, bone strength, calcium retention, and immune response in broilers. This substitution also allows for the reduction of calcium levels in the diet.

Effects of phytase and coccidial vaccine on growth performance, nutrient digestibility, bone mineralization, and intestinal gene expression of broilers

Hanyi Shi et al.

Summary: This study evaluated the effects of phytase and coccidial vaccine on growth performance, bone mineralization, nutrient digestibility, and intestinal gene expression in broiler chickens. The results showed that supplementing phytase can mitigate the negative effects of reduced mineral content in the diet on bird growth, while vaccination had minimal effects on growth performance.

Effects of phytase and multicarbohydrase on growth performance, bone mineralization, and nutrient digestibility in broilers fed a nutritionally reduced diet

J. Wang et al.

Summary: The experiment evaluated the effects of phytase and multicarbohydrase on growth performance, bone ash, and nutrient digestibility in broilers fed a nutritionally reduced diet. Results showed that the combination of phytase and multicarbohydrase can compensate for the decreases in growth performance, bone ash, and nutrient digestibility caused by a nutritionally reduced diet. Increasing phytase level with or without carbohydrase linearly increased broiler growth performance and bone mineralization.

Supplemental Effects of Phytase on Modulation of Mucosa-Associated Microbiota in the Jejunum and the Impacts on Nutrient Digestibility, Intestinal Morphology, and Bone Parameters in Broiler Chickens

Vitor Hugo C. Moita et al.

Summary: The study determined that phytase supplementation positively influenced the mucosa-associated microbiota in the jejunum of broiler chickens by increasing beneficial bacteria and reducing harmful bacteria, improving intestinal integrity, nutrient digestibility, and bone parameters. A dosage range of 38 to 59 FTU/d or 600 to 950 FTU/kg of feed provided the most benefits related to nutrient digestibility.

Supplementation of Microbial and Fungal Phytases to Low Protein and Energy Diets: Effects on Productive Performance, Nutrient Digestibility, and Blood Profiles of Broilers

Youssef A. Attia et al.

Summary: The study showed that low protein and energy diets can affect feed intake and nutrient conversion ratios in chicks, but the addition of phytases can mitigate these effects, with bacterial phytase showing a greater effect than the A. niger phytase.
