Effects of temperature distribution caused by energy accumulation on the bonding properties of carbon fiber composite components

Qian Wang et al.

Summary: The influence of temperature changes generated by plasma energy accumulation on the bonding properties of carbon fiber composites was investigated. It was found that after a 5-minute treatment, the bonding strength increased by 60.97%. The energy accumulation increased the local temperature, leading to improved surface wettability and enhanced bonding strength.

Investigating the mechanical properties and microstructure of the weld joint obtained by laser welding of PA12/CNT nanocomposites

Mohammad Reza Samadi et al.

Summary: The study investigated the laser welding of 3D printed polyamide12/carbon nanotube (PA12/CNT) nanocomposites. Factorial design was used to examine the effects of laser power, welding velocity, and CNT content on the tensile and impact strengths of the welded samples. Thermal stability and weight loss temperature were measured using differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetric analysis. The results showed that an increase in CNTs improved the thermal stability and enhanced the melting point and crystallinity percentage of the nanocomposites.
