Highly Emissive Chiral Mn(II) Bromide Hybrids for UV-Pumped Circularly Polarized LEDs and Scintillator Image Applications

Maria P. Davydova et al.

Summary: Efficient, stable, and low-cost Mn(II) hybrids that exhibit brightly green Mn2+-centered circularly polarized phosphorescence with near-unity PLQY and a high g(lum) factor have been synthesized. These hybrids can be used for UV-pumped circularly polarized light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and X-ray imaging applications, demonstrating their potential as low-cost materials for CPL-LEDs, scintillators, and X-ray imaging.

Synthesis, structure, luminescent properties and catecholase activity of Zn(II) complex with N, O chelating agent

Trilochan Rakshit et al.

Summary: A mononuclear tetrahedral Zn(II) complex with a bi-dentate N,O donor ligand derived from phenol has been synthesized and characterized. The complex exhibits catecholase activity and shows irreversible oxidation peaks in cyclic voltammetric study. The compound also displays a strong emission band and catalyzes the conversion of 3,5-di-tent-butyl catechol to 3,5-di-tent-butyl quinone through the generation of phenoxyl radicals.

Photo- and triboluminescent robust 1D polymers made of Mn(ii) halides and meta-carborane based bis(phosphine oxide)

Alexander V. Artem'ev et al.

Summary: A series of 1D coordination polymers with high quantum yield phosphorescence have been designed, exhibiting reversible thermochromic luminescence as the temperature changes. The phosphorescence originates from ligand-sensitized T-4(1) -> (6)A(1) transition in Mn2+ ions, and the polymers demonstrate enhanced robustness with retained emission properties even after prolonged heating at 210 degrees C.
