Association between vitamin D supplementation and COVID-19 infection and mortality

Jason B. Gibbons et al.

Summary: Vitamin D deficiency is associated with increased risk of COVID-19 infection. This study shows that supplementation with Vitamin D-2 and D-3 can significantly reduce the risk of COVID-19 infection and mortality in US veterans. Higher dosages of Vitamin D are more beneficial, and black veterans receive greater risk reductions compared to white veterans.
