Sources of automatic office blood pressure measurement error: a systematic review

Jian Liu et al.

Summary: This study conducted a systematic review of the sources of measurement errors in oscillometric-based automatic office blood pressure measurements (AOBPM) and identified various factors that may contribute to measurement errors. Caution should be exercised when interpreting BP readings in clinical settings, and the need for standardized BP measurements and guidance for clinical practitioners using AOBPM devices are emphasized.

Prediagnosis of Heart Failure (HF) Using Deep Learning and the Korotkoff Sound

Huanyu Zhang et al.

Summary: Heart failure is a devastating condition that requires early detection. This paper proposes a non-invasive early diagnosis method for heart failure using a deep learning network and the Korotkoff sound. The results show that the model using MFCC features outperforms the one using CWT features in terms of diagnostic accuracy, and the performance is better on non-segmented datasets. The study demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed method in accurately predicting heart failure, providing a new approach for early prevention.
