Novel Approximate Analytical Solutions to the Nonplanar Modified Kawahara Equation and Modeling Nonlinear Structures in Electronegative Plasmas

Rania A. Alharbey et al.

Summary: In this investigation, the nonplanar modified fifth-order Korteweg-de Vries equation (nmKdV5), also known as the nonplanar modified Kawahara equation (nmKE), is solved using the ansatz approach. Two general formulas for the semi-analytical symmetric approximations are derived, and the obtained solutions are applied to the fluid equations for electronegative plasmas. The obtained approximations can be used by researchers interested in studying nonlinear phenomena in plasma physics to interpret their experimental and observational findings.

Dissipative Kawahara ion-acoustic solitary and cnoidal waves in a degenerate magnetorotating plasma

Sadah A. Alkhateeb et al.

Summary: The effects of Landau quantization magnetic field, the Coriolis force, and collisional frequency on the properties of dissipative ion acoustic waves (IAWs) are discussed using the two-dimensional fluid quantum hydrodynamic (QHD) as the basis. The damped Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equation, derived using the reductive perturbation technique (RPT), fails to accurately describe the system as observed in laboratory experiments. A new non-integrable differential equation, the damped Kawahara equation, is introduced to account for higher-order effects. A semi-analytical solution is derived to understand the features of quantum IAWs in astrophysical plasmas and novel materials like graphene and topological insulators.

Modulational Instability of Ion-Acoustic Waves in Pair-Ion Plasma

Summary: The modulational instability of ion-acoustic waves in a four-component plasma system was theoretically examined, revealing that increased non-thermality leads to a more unstable state while increased non-extensivity introduces a less unstable state. The bright (dark) ion-acoustic (IA) envelope solitons mode exist in the unstable (stable) domain. The conditions for modulational instability and its growth rate are strongly modified by various plasma parameters.

Adomian decomposition method for modelling the dissipative higher-order rogue waves in a superthermal collisional plasma

Noufe. H. Aljahdaly et al.

Summary: A linear damped nonlinear Schrodinger equation (LDNLSE) is derived using a reductive perturbation technique to investigate the properties of dissipative modulated nonlinear dust-acoustic wavepacket in an electron-ion dusty plasma with superthermal electrons and ions, including rogue waves (RWs). The modulational instability of the dissipative envelope structures is studied and the (un)stable domain of the modulated structures is mapped accurately. Numerical solutions of the LDNLSE using Adomian decomposition method (ADM) show the influence of plasma parameters on dissipative RWs, with a focus on superthermal parameters and dust-neutral collisional frequency. Global residual error is estimated to examine the accuracy of the numerical solutions.
