Double copy of spontaneously broken Abelian gauge theory

Euro Spallucci et al.

Summary: This letter discusses the idea that graviton could be described as the double copy of a vector gauge field, emerging directly from solutions of equations of General Relativity. By deriving a general form of the energy momentum tensor for the electric field, the metric tensor in terms of the double copy of a corresponding gauge potential is found, leading to the double copy of spontaneously broken scalar electrodynamics. The results show that highly excited states exhibit characteristic string-like behavior.

Kalb-Ramond scalar QED multiple vacua

Anais Smailagic et al.

Summary: The study focuses on a model involving interacting vector and Kalb-Ramond gauge fields in a non-trivial Higgs vacuum created by charged and neutral scalar fields. Different vacua exist for different v.e.v. of the two Higgs fields. The 'mixed phase' of interest is where both the photon and Kalb-Ramond fields acquire mass, leading to a Cornell confining potential between test charges.

Overcounting of interior excitations: a resolution to the bags of gold paradox in AdS

Joydeep Chakravarty

Summary: This work investigates how single-sided and eternal black holes can contain a vast number of semiclassical excitations in their interior, proposing a new solution to resolve the paradox in entropy. By describing the interior of black holes in Hilbert space, the resolution of the paradox arising from the orthogonal relationships between these excitations is provided.
