Nanowire-based integrated photonics for quantum information and quantum sensing

Jin Chang et al.

Summary: This review presents a comprehensive summary of working theory, material platform, fabrication process, and game-changing applications of state-of-the-art quantum dots in nanowire emitters and superconducting nanowire single-photon detectors, which are the core building pillars for quantum photonic information processing and sensing. Nanowire-based quantum hardware shows promising properties for modern quantum optics experiments. The article highlights emerging quantum photonics applications and discusses the development trends of integrated quantum photonics. Furthermore, it proposes quantum information processing and sensing experiments for the quantum optics community and future interdisciplinary applications.

Chaos due to symmetry-breaking in deformed Poisson ensemble

Adway Kumar Das et al.

Summary: The competition between the strength and correlation of coupling terms in a Hamiltonian leads to phenomenological models that exhibit spectral properties between those of integrable and chaotic ensembles. Understanding the evolution of off-diagonal terms in a Hamiltonian as the symmetries of an integrable system are broken is important. We introduce a deformed Poisson ensemble that maps the coupling terms to the underlying symmetries of the Hamiltonian, and predict a chaotic limit using the maximum entropy principle, which is verified numerically.

Localization and fractality in disordered Russian Doll model

Vedant R. Motamarri et al.

Summary: Motivated by the interplay of Bethe-Ansatz integrability and localization in the Richardson model of superconductivity, this study analyzes the localization and ergodicity-breaking properties of the single-particle spectrum in a time-reversal symmetry breaking deformation known as the Russian Doll Model (RDM) with diagonal on-site disorder. A large-energy renormalization group (RG) method is used to derive an effective Hamiltonian for the model and a fractal phase of non-ergodic delocalized states is discovered, with a fractal dimension different from the Rosenzweig-Porter model.

Transport in deformed centrosymmetric networks

Adway Kumar Das et al.

Summary: Centrosymmetry plays an important role in various complex systems, and we introduce the deformed centrosymmetric ensemble and propose two quantities to quantify centrosymmetry. By precisely controlling the extent of centrosymmetry, we study its manifestation on the transport properties of complex networks.

Flat band based multifractality in the all-band-flat diamond chain

Aamna Ahmed et al.

Summary: In this study, we investigate the effect of quasiperiodic Aubry-Andre disorder on the energy spectrum and eigenstates of a one-dimensional all-band-flat diamond chain. We find that the symmetric perturbation preserves compact localization while lifting the degeneracy, while the antisymmetric perturbation not only lifts the degeneracy but also destroys compact localization. Interestingly, all eigenstates exhibit multifractal behavior below a critical potential strength, while a central band of eigenstates continues to display extended behavior for arbitrarily large strengths of the potential.

Quantum phase with coexisting localized, extended, and critical zones

Yucheng Wang et al.

Summary: In this paper, a quasiperiodic spin-orbit coupled lattice model is proposed to realize a quantum phase with three coexisting energy-dependent zones. The underlying mechanism for the occurrence of this phase is uncovered. The predicted phase can be detected by measuring the fractal dimension or conductivities.

Nonergodic extended states in the ? ensemble

Adway Kumar Das et al.

Summary: Matrix models showing a chaotic-integrable transition in the spectral statistics are important for understanding many-body localization. In this work, the eigenvector properties of the ?? ensemble are numerically studied and nonergodic extended states are observed over a finite interval of parameter values.

Emergent fractal phase in energy stratified random models

Anton G. Kutlin et al.

Summary: This study investigates the effects of partial correlations in kinetic hopping terms of long-range disordered random matrix models on their localization properties. Both analytical and numerical analyses show that any deviation from the completely correlated case leads to emergent non-ergodic delocalization in the system. The study also develops a generalization of the Dyson Brownian motion and cavity approaches for models with correlated kinetic terms.

Dynamical phases in a multifractal Rosenzweig-Porter model

Ivan M. Khaymovich et al.

Summary: This article investigates the static and dynamical phases in a Rosenzweig-Porter (RP) random matrix ensemble, presenting a general theory of survival probability and identifying different phases such as exponential, stretch-exponential, and frozen-dynamics. By considering examples like the Anderson localization model and the logarithmically-normal RP random matrix ensemble, exact values and phase diagrams are found, allowing for the analytical description of finite-size multifractality and computation of critical lengths.
