Information locking and its resource-efficient extraction

Suchetana Goswami et al.

Summary: This study investigates an information distribution protocol using orthogonal states, which ensures that even if any k (m - 1) parties collaborate, complete information cannot be revealed. It shows that the efficient way of information distribution is to share entanglement and extract information completely by LOCC.

Detecting genuine multipartite entanglement in three-qubit systems with eternal non-Markovianity

Ankit Vaishy et al.

Summary: The researchers have devised a new protocol to detect genuinely multipartite entangled states by using quantum non-Markovian operations. They have utilized eternal non-Markovianity to construct a non-complete positive map that filters out bi-separable states and detects genuine multipartite entanglement. Furthermore, they have proposed a witness operator based on this theory for the experimental detection of genuinely multipartite entangled states. This study reveals an unexplored connection between entanglement theory and quantum non-Markovianity.

Generating and detecting bound entanglement in two-qutrits using a family of indecomposable positive maps

Bihalan Bhattacharya et al.

Summary: In this work, an indecomposable positive map for two-qutrit systems is proposed to detect a class of positive partial transposed (PPT) states. A corresponding witness operator is constructed, proven to be weakly optimal and locally implementable. Through a structural physical approximation of the indecomposable map, a new PPT-entangled state is found which cannot be detected by certain other well-known entanglement detection criteria.

Convex resource theory of non-Markovianity

Samyadeb Bhattacharya et al.

Summary: In this research, a convex resource theory of non-Markovianity inducing information backflow has been established under the constraint of small time intervals within the temporal evolution. Free operations and a generalized bona-fide measure of non-Markovian information backflow have been identified, and the proposed resource quantifier is lower bounded by the optimization free Rivas-Huelga-Plenio (RHP) measure of non-Markovianity. The study further defines the robustness of non-Markovianity and shows its direct link with the RHP measure of non-Markovianity, providing a physical interpretation of the RHP measure and relating the robustness of non-Markovianity with the quantum capacity of dephasing channels.

Triangle Measure of Tripartite Entanglement

Songbo Xie et al.

Summary: By exploiting a previously overlooked constraint in the distribution of entanglement in three-qubit systems, a new genuine tripartite entanglement measure has been proposed and found superior to existing measures for various reasons. The high dimensionality of the Hilbert space can lead to inequivalence between different tripartite entanglement measures. This new measure, related to the area of a concurrence triangle, shows promise for potential quantum tasks and multiparty entanglement problems.

Convex geometry of Markovian Lindblad dynamics and witnessing non-Markovianity

Bihalan Bhattacharya et al.

Summary: This paper develops a theory of linear witnesses for detecting non-Markovianity based on the geometric structure of Choi states, and constructs linear witnesses to separate non-Markovian Choi states from Markovian ones. By utilizing different witnesses and projective measurements, various qubit channels can be effectively detected and distinguished for non-Markovian behavior.
