Structural and optical investigation of spray-deposited SnO2 thin films

E. Turan et al.

Summary: This study investigated the structural and optical properties of tin oxide thin films deposited by spray pyrolysis method at different substrate temperatures. The research revealed that the crystallite size, strain, and dislocation density of the samples varied with the substrate temperature. Additionally, the optical properties of the films were analyzed, and the results showed a change in the direct optical band gap of the films with increasing substrate temperature.

Study of structural, optical and electrical properties of SnO2 doped TiO2 thin films prepared by a facile Sol-Gel route

Habib Chenaina et al.

Summary: This study focuses on sol-gel derived SnO2-TiO2 thin films deposited on silicon wafer type Si (100) substrate using spin coating technique, followed by heat treatments at four different temperatures. XRD characterization reveals the formation of nano-crystalline phase at 400 degrees C and further crystallization with increasing annealing temperature. Optical and dielectric properties analysis demonstrates universal many body response over a broad frequency range, presenting variations in structure and performance of the films.

Opto-electrical properties of Ni and Mg co-doped CdS thin films prepared by spin coating technique

T. Garmim et al.

Summary: In this study, (Ni, Mg) co-doped CdS thin films were synthesized using the spin coating method. The Mg incorporation caused an increase in grain size and changes in optical properties with increasing Mg concentration in Cd0.98Ni0.02S. The research also investigated optical parameters and changes in electrical resistivity and conductivity with varying Mg concentrations.

Summary: Semiconducting oxide nanocomposites of ZnO/SnO2 with different weight ratios were prepared and characterized. Structural analysis showed the crystal structures of SnO2 and ZnO, while elemental analysis revealed Sn deficiency in one sample. Electrical properties, such as dielectric behavior and ac conductivity, were discussed in detail, highlighting the differences among the studied nanocomposites.

Summary: The study reported on the characterization of structural, dielectric, impedance, and ac conductivity properties of sol-gel grown ZnO-SnO2 nanocomposites. X-ray diffraction demonstrated the dual phase nature of the composites and the nano scale order of the particles. Electrical properties were found to be dependent on temperature and frequency, with correlations to oxygen vacancies, defects, disorder, and structural parameters.
