Survey on the interest and commitment of AIFM members to scientific activities (SicAS)-The initiative of the FutuRuS working group

R. Castriconi et al.

Summary: The FutuRuS working group of AIFM conducted a survey (SicAS) to gather feedback from its members regarding their interest and experience in scientific activities. The results showed a high relevance of MPEs' involvement in scientific activities, but many members devoted less time and expressed dissatisfaction due to lack of time and mentoring.

Education, training and registration of Medical Physics Experts across Europe

Ad J. J. Maas et al.

Summary: EFOMP has been working to improve and coordinate the education and training of medical physicists across European countries, with a recent survey showing good correspondence in education and training programs but differences in the composition of a supervising committee and guidelines for professional misconduct. The goal of a universal MPE accepted by all European countries is still far away, but the exchange of experience and knowledge between countries is seen as a key step towards achieving this goal.
