Linear and nonlinear optical properties of Bi12GeO20 single crystal for optoelectronic applications

M. Isik et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the linear and nonlinear optical properties of Bi12GeO20 single crystals grown by the Czochralski method. Transmission and reflection measurements were carried out in the 400-1000 nm range, and the obtained spectra were analyzed using well-known optical models. The spectral dependencies of the absorption coefficient, refractive index, and dielectric function were presented. The results also include the analysis of the absorption coefficient and the determination of the nonlinear susceptibilities and refractive index of the crystal.

Magnetically Separable Mixed-Phase α/γ-Fe2O3 Catalyst for Photo-Fenton-like Oxidation of Rhodamine B

Asiyat Magomedova et al.

Summary: In this study, a magnetic α/γ-Fe2O3 mixed-phase catalyst was synthesized using glycine-nitrate precursors for efficient separation. The catalyst exhibited remarkable photo-Fenton-like degradation performance for Rhodamine B (RhB) in neutral pH. The sample also showed a high saturation magnetization of 28.6 emu/g and long-term stability during recycle experiments, with only a 5% decrease in activity.

Influence of Mo+2 ion concentration on crystallization, microstructure, crystal imperfection and morphology of WO3 sprayed thin films

S. M. Al-Shomar et al.

Summary: The compositional dependence of microstructure and morphological properties of MoxW1-xO3 thin films was studied. After thermal annealing, the films transformed from amorphous to polycrystalline with triclinic structure. The crystallite size decreased while the internal microstrain increased with the addition of Mo element. Mo dopant caused significant changes in the surface morphology of the films. The results confirm the suitability of MoxW1-xO3 for photovoltaic and optoelectronic applications.

Facile fabrication of novel nanostructured Au@PbI2 thin films and their structure, optical and NLO studies for higher order nonlinear applications

Mohd Shkir et al.

Summary: A facile fabrication process of gold (Au) doped lead iodide (PbI2) thin films via spin-coating from microwave-synthesized Au@PbI2 nanosheets was achieved. The nanosheets were confirmed to have 2H-polytype of PbI2, with grain sizes estimated between 9.2 and 13.5 nm. The Au doping was observed in EDX spectra and the films exhibited good transmittance in the visible region. Energy gaps were reduced with the addition of Au, and nonlinear parameters were determined at 1.11 eV energy.
