Upregulation of MAPKAPK5-AS1, PXN-AS1 and URB1-AS1 lncRNAs in non-functioning pituitary adenoma

Mohammad Taheri et al.

Summary: In this study, the expression levels of six lncRNAs were evaluated in Iranian patients with NFPA. MAPKAPK5-AS1, PXN-AS1, and URB1-AS1 were found to be overexpressed in NFPA tissues. Furthermore, the relative expression levels of PXN-AS1 were associated with tumor subtype, while MAPKAPK5-AS1 and LIFR-AS1 were associated with patient gender. These findings suggest a potential role of MAPKAPK5-AS1, PXN-AS1, and URB1-AS1 in the pathogenesis of NFPAs.

Identifying critical protein-coding genes and long non-coding RNAs in non-functioning pituitary adenoma recurrence

Jing Guo et al.

Summary: Through differential expression analysis of fast and slow recurrence groups of NFPA patients, a set of differentially expressed PCGs and lncRNAs were obtained. Protein-protein interaction coregulatory networks and lncRNA-mRNA coexpression networks were identified. Hub lncRNA-mRNA modules related to NFPA recurrence were screened and transcriptome expression markers for NFPA regression were identified.

Regulatory Role of Non-Coding RNAs on Immune Responses During Sepsis

Soudeh Ghafouri-Fard et al.

Summary: Sepsis results from inflammatory response to microbial agents and can lead to multiple organ system failure. Non-coding RNAs such as lncRNAs, miRNAs, and circRNAs have been found to play a role in the pathogenesis of sepsis-related complications.

The Emerging Role of Non-Coding RNAs in Pituitary Gland Tumors and Meningioma

Soudeh Ghafouri-Fard et al.

Summary: Non-coding RNAs have been shown to play a significant role in the pathogenesis of pituitary gland tumors and meningiomas. Further research is needed to explore their potential applications as biomarkers for diagnosis and treatment in these brain tumors.

LncRNA NEAT1 Acts as an miR-148b-3p Sponge to Regulate ROCK1 Inhibition of Retinoblastoma Growth

Hang Lu et al.

Summary: The study showed that LncRNA NEAT1 was up-regulated in retinoblastoma tissues, cells and serum, and patients with high expression had poor prognosis. Knocking down LncRNA NEAT1 weakened proliferation and invasion, and accelerated apoptosis. Tumor allogeneic experiment demonstrated that sh-NEAT1 injection inhibited tumor growth. Furthermore, LncRNA NEAT1 inhibited proliferation and invasion, and promoted apoptosis through the miR-148b-3p/ROCK1 axis.
