Moderate Prognostic Value of lncRNA FOXD2-AS1 in Gastric Cancer with Helicobacter pylori Infection

Ali Rajabi et al.

Summary: The study found that FOXD2-AS1 is significantly upregulated in gastric tumors and is significantly associated with lymph node metastasis and Helicobacter pylori infection, making it a potential prognostic biomarker for patients with GC.

Expression of lncRNAs AK058003 and APOC1P1 in breast cancer patients

Ali Rajabi et al.

Summary: In this study, the expression levels of two important lncRNAs (AK058003 and APOC1P1) in breast tumors were compared with adjacent non-tumor tissues. The results showed significant overexpression and positive correlation of these lncRNAs in tumor tissues, suggesting their diagnostic potential in breast cancer.

Overexpression of HOXA-AS2 LncRNA in Patients with Gastric Cancer and Its Association with Helicobacter pylori Infection

Ali Rajabi et al.

Summary: This study evaluated the difference in HOXA-AS2 gene expression between cancerous and marginal noncancerous tissues in gastric cancer patients, and found that HOXA-AS2 was significantly upregulated in cancerous tissues. The expression of HOXA-AS2 was closely associated with clinicopathological features such as tumor size, lymph node metastasis, and H. pylori infection. ROC analysis indicated that HOXA-AS2 could potentially serve as a biomarker for diagnosing gastric cancer.

Global cancer statistics 2020: GLOBOCAN estimates of incidence and mortality worldwide for 36 cancers in 185 countries

Hyuna Sung et al.

Summary: The global cancer burden in 2020 saw an estimated 19.3 million new cancer cases and almost 10.0 million cancer deaths. Female breast cancer surpassed lung cancer as the most commonly diagnosed cancer, while lung cancer remained the leading cause of cancer death. These trends are expected to rise in 2040, with transitioning countries experiencing a larger increase compared to transitioned countries due to demographic changes and risk factors associated with globalization and a growing economy. Efforts to improve cancer prevention measures and provision of cancer care in transitioning countries will be crucial for global cancer control.

Overexpression of the GClnc1 as a Diagnostic Biomarker in Gastric Cancer Patients and its Link with H. Pylori Infection

Atousa Riahi et al.

Summary: This study found increased expression of GClnc1 in tumor tissues of GC patients, which was significantly associated with pathological features such as lymph node metastasis and H. pylori infection. As a biomarker, GClnc1 showed high sensitivity and specificity in GC patients, suggesting its potential as a biomarker in molecular targeted therapies for GC patients.

Sajjad Ghalib Ibrahim Alnajar et al.

Summary: The study found that AFAP1-AS1 is overexpressed in lung tumors compared to adjacent non-tumor tissues. There was a significant positive association between AFAP1-AS1 expression and tumor size, as well as tumor stage.
