Clinicopathological and molecular characteristics of fumarate hydratase-deficient uterine smooth muscle tumors: a single-center study of 52 cases

Hui Li et al.

Summary: FH-d uSMTs typically exhibit distinct morphological features and a high frequency of FH germline mutations. The combination of predictive morphology evaluation, FH immunotype, and molecular testing is helpful for screening HLRCC in uSMTs.

Hereditary leiomyomatosis and renal cell carcinoma syndrome associated uterine smooth muscle tumors: Bridging morphology and clinical screening

Karuna Garg et al.

Summary: HLRCC is a genetic syndrome associated with an increased risk for renal cell carcinoma and smooth muscle tumors. By evaluating tumor morphology, FH deficiency can be identified in USMT, guiding patients towards formal genetic counseling.

A prognostic index model for predicting long-term recurrence of uterine leiomyoma after myomectomy

Xiu Ming et al.

Summary: The study proposed a prognostic index (PI) model for predicting the long-term recurrence risk of uterine leiomyoma (UL) after myomectomy. The model categorized patients into low-risk, intermediate-risk, and high-risk groups based on PI values, with significant differences in recurrence risk observed between these groups in both internal and external validation groups. The model proved to be effective in predicting UL recurrence after myomectomy.

Hereditary leiomyomatosis and renal cell cancer (HLRCC): Case series and review of the literature

Yanfei Yu et al.

Summary: Hereditary leiomyomatosis and renal cell cancer (HLRCC) is a genetic syndrome characterized by cutaneous and uterine leiomyomas, as well as an increased risk of developing renal cell carcinoma (RCC). This study identified novel FH mutations in Chinese patients with HLRCC-related RCC, suggesting the importance of germline screening in early-onset cases. The findings provide valuable clinical information for the differential diagnosis of HLRCC-associated RCC.
