Systematic significance of pollen morphology in rare endemic taxa of Astragalus L. (Fabaceae)

Amjad Khan et al.

Summary: In this study, pollen grains of ten species of endemic Astragalus L. plants in Pakistan were examined using light and scanning electron microscopy. The qualitative and quantitative morphological characteristics of the pollen grains were observed and compared, providing valuable information for the identification and classification of these taxa. A diagnostic key was also established for easy and fast identification of the studied species.
