Linear and nonlinear optical characteristics of PVA/CMC/PEG blended polymer loaded with ZnS formed at different temperatures

A. M. El-naggar et al.

Summary: Pure and loaded blends of polyvinyl alcohol/carboxymethyl cellulose/polyethylene glycol (PVA/CMC/PEG: 70/15/15%) with zinc sulfide (ZnS) were prepared at different temperatures and characterized. The loaded blends showed decreased optical energy values and a non-monotonic change in refractive index with wavelength. The nonlinear optical parameters reached their maximum values when loaded with ZnS prepared at 300 degrees C. The fluorescence emitted by the blended polymer depended on the temperature of the nanofiller.

A. M. El-naggar et al.

Summary: Blends of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)/0.25% polyaniline (PANi)/x wt % multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) were formed and their formation was investigated using X-ray diffraction technique. The effects of MWCNTs amounts on the optical parameters and emitted colours of the blends were studied.
