Summary: This article proposes a novel fixed-time converging proximal neurodynamic network (FXPNN) to deal with equilibrium problems (EPs). The FXPNN shows better transient performance compared to most existing proximal neurodynamic networks and converges to the solution in fixed-time. It is applied to solve various optimization problems and inequalities, and its effectiveness and advantages are validated through numerical examples.

Summary: A novel inertial inverse-free dynamical system is proposed to solve the absolute value equation, providing a unique solution that asymptotically converges to the desired solution. The inclusion of an inertial term allows for more convenient exploration of different solutions compared to existing dynamical systems. Numerical results demonstrate the effectiveness of this proposed method.

Summary: This paper introduces a neurodynamic optimization approach for portfolio selection with targeted performance criteria. The problems are formulated as variable weight optimization to maximize five risk-adjusted performance criteria within the mean-variance framework and reformulated as iteratively weighted convex optimization problems. Additionally, distributed portfolio optimization problems with separable performance criteria are also addressed. Three neurodynamic approaches based on globally convergent recurrent neural networks are developed to solve these problems. Extensive experimental results using 13 datasets of world stock markets demonstrate the superior performance of the neurodynamic approaches compared to baselines in terms of evaluation criteria and investment returns.

Summary: This article investigates the fixed-time (FXT) synchronization of discontinuous competitive neural networks (CNNs) with time-varying delays. Two types of discontinuous FXT control schemes are proposed, and two forms of Lyapunov function based on p-norm and 1-norm are constructed to analyze the FXT synchronization of CNNs. By employing nonsmooth analysis and inequality techniques, simple criteria for achieving FXT synchronization and an upper bound of the settling time with less conservativeness are derived. The effect of time scale on FXT synchronization of CNNs is also considered, and numerical results for an example are provided to validate the theoretical findings.

Summary: In this paper, a novel modified neurodynamic network (MNN) is proposed to solve pseudomonotone variational inequalities. The MNN is shown to have a unique solution and globally fixed-time stability under the assumptions of strong pseudo-monotonicity and Lipschitz continuity. Numerical examples demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of the MNN.

Summary: This article introduces a new PC-CVZNN model, which demonstrates superior performance in solving complex-valued linear matrix equations with time-varying coefficients thanks to the integration of a new parameter-changing function. The theoretical analysis and numerical comparison experiments validate the faster convergence rate of the PC-CVZNN model compared to fixed-parameter CVZNN models and other similar neural networks with parameter-changing functions. Additionally, the application of this method to mobile manipulator control highlights the potential practical value of the PC-CVZNN model in the industrial field.
