Do economists replicate?

Summary: Reanalyses of empirical studies and replications in new contexts are crucial for scientific progress. However, economics profession lacks sufficient replication efforts. This paper highlights the need for "policing replications" to address potential incentive issues leading to a replication crisis. By examining leading economics journals, it is concluded that more incentives are necessary to promote replication and benefit from increased transparency standards.

Estimating the Reproducibility of Experimental Philosophy

Summary: In response to concerns about the reliability of published literature in psychology and other disciplines, the X-Phi Replicability Project (XRP) was formed to assess the reproducibility of experimental philosophy. The project found that x-phi studies successfully replicated about 70% of the time, and discussed possible reasons for this relatively high replication rate in the field of experimental philosophy, as well as provided suggestions for best research practices going forward.
