QUIJOTE scientific results - VII. Galactic AME sources in the QUIJOTE-MFI northern hemisphere wide survey

F. Poidevin et al.

Summary: The QUIJOTE-MFI Northern Hemisphere Wide Survey has produced Spectral Energy Distributions of AME on a sample of 52 candidate compact sources. Our analysis reveals 44 sources with high AME significance. The study shows a strong correlation between thermal dust and AME, but no correlation between AME emissivity and free-free radiation Emission Measure.

QUIJOTE scientific results - VIII. Diffuse polarized foregrounds from component separation with QUIJOTE-MFI

E. de la Hoz et al.

Summary: We use a combination of data from various telescopes to obtain linearly polarized astrophysical component maps of the Northern Sky. The addition of QUIJOTE-MFI data improves the estimation of low-frequency foregrounds, particularly the synchrotron spectral index. We observe spatial variability in the beta(s) map and find that the power-law model of synchrotron emission fits well outside the Galactic plane but not within it. We also estimate thermal dust spectral parameters and find strong correlation with the Planck release.

QUIJOTE scientific results - IV. A northern sky survey in intensity and polarization at 10-20 GHz with the multifrequency instrument

J. A. Rubino-Martin et al.

Summary: We present intensity and polarization maps at four frequency bands centred around 11, 13, 17, and 19 GHz, covering a large portion of the northern sky region. The maps were derived from observations made between May 2013 and June 2018 using the first QUIJOTE multifrequency instrument (MFI), with high angular resolutions and sensitivities. We discuss the data processing pipeline, calibration accuracy, and characteristics of the maps.

QUIJOTE scientific results - V. The microwave intensity and polarization spectra of the Galactic regions W49, W51 and IC443

D. Tramonte et al.

Summary: We present new intensity and polarization maps obtained with the QUIJOTE experiment towards the Galactic regions W49, W51 and IC443. We detect anomalous microwave emission (AME) in total intensity towards W49 and W51, and measure a broken power-law synchrotron spectrum towards IC443. The polarized SEDs reveal a synchrotron contribution without evidence of polarized AME emission in this study.

BEYONDPLANCK XIII. Intensity foreground sampling, degeneracies, and priors

K. J. Andersen et al.

Summary: This paper discusses the importance of end-to-end simulations in high-sensitivity CMB experiments and addresses the issue of defining inputs in terms of sky model and instrument parameters. The author shows that different types of simulations yield significantly different correlation structures and argues that they have different scientific uses. Prior simulations are more convenient for code validation, while posterior simulations are more suitable for parameter estimation studies.

Searching for anomalous microwave emission in nearby galaxies K-band observations with the Sardinia Radio Telescope

S. Bianchi et al.

Summary: This study observed four nearby spiral galaxies with the aim of detecting anomalous microwave emission (AME). The results showed no clear detection of AME, but were consistent with previous studies. The study suggests further searching for AME in galaxies with relatively low radio luminosity.

Summary: According to the study, PAHs preferentially reside in cold, relatively dense gas in interstellar environments, rather than having a strong positive correlation with AME. Unlike PAH emission, the correlation between the AME peak frequency and CNM is weaker.

COMAP Early Science. VI. A First Look at the COMAP Galactic Plane Survey

Thomas J. Rennie et al.

Summary: This study presents early results from the CO Mapping Array Project (COMAP) Galactic Plane Survey, including the diffuse emission and spectral energy distributions of H ii regions and supernova remnants (SNRs). The researchers find evidence of anomalous microwave emission in certain regions and reject ultracompact H ii regions as the cause. They also detect known SNRs and measure spectral indices consistent with previous findings or showing evidence of steepening. Additionally, they extract hydrogen radio recombination lines to map warm ionized gas, laying the foundation for future surveys.

Resolved spectral variations of the centimetre-wavelength continuum from the ρ Oph W photodissociation region

Simon Casassus et al.

Summary: Research shows that in photodissociation regions (PDRs) exposed to UV radiation in molecular cloud regions, centimetre-wavelength radio continuum emission (EME) is bright. EME correlates with infrared dust emission on degree angular scales, and resolved observations of PDRs are needed to compare spectral variations with tracers of physical conditions and dust grain population.

Detection of spectral variations of Anomalous Microwave Emission with QUIJOTE and C-BASS

R. Cepeda-Arroita et al.

Summary: Through the study of the λ Orionis ring, we found that AME exists in the form of degree-scale excess over 20 sigma around the entirety of the ring near photodissociation regions, with three primary bright regions containing dark clouds. A radial decrease is observed in the AME peak frequency from approximately 35 GHz near the free-free region to approximately 21 GHz in the outer regions of the ring, marking the first detection of AME spectral variations across a single region. A strong correlation between AME peak frequency, emission measure, and dust temperature indicates the dependence of AME peak frequency on the local radiation field.
