Targeting protein tyrosine phosphatase to unravel possible inhibitors for Streptococcus pneumoniae using molecular docking, molecular dynamics simulations coupled with free energy calculations

Zainab Zaman et al.

Summary: This study aims to identify potential drug candidates for inhibiting the growth of Streptococcus pneumonia by targeting PTP-CPS4B through molecular docking and molecular dynamic simulation. The top three compounds with the best binding affinity and interaction pattern were identified as potential inhibitors against PTP-CPS4B. The study provides evidence for further in vitro and in vivo studies on the therapeutic potential of these compounds.

Design, synthesis and molecular docking studies of novel piperazine metal complexes as potential antibacterial candidate against MRSA

H. S. Nagendra Prasad et al.

Summary: This study synthesized a series of novel metal piperazine carboxamide analogues, with the 5e complex showing potent biocidal activity, especially the copper complex (5Cu) exhibiting remarkable antibacterial activity against MRSA. The results of the study suggest that the synthesized copper complex template may be further developed to combat MRSA infections.
