A high-strength heat-resistant Al-5.7Ni eutectic alloy with spherical Al3Ni nano-particles by selective laser melting

Junwang Deng et al.

Summary: This paper explores high-strength heat-resistant aluminum alloys by using Al-5.7Ni alloy in additive manufacturing, successfully mitigating crack formation tendency by slowing down the solidification range. The alloy shows excellent mechanical properties, mainly attributed to dispersion strengthening from Al3Ni nano-particles with superior thermal stability.
