Metal organic framework/covalent organic framework composite for solid-phase microextraction of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in milk samples

Chen Yu et al.

Summary: A novel MOF/COF composite was designed and prepared as a coating fiber for HS-SPME, utilizing the excellent physicochemical properties of metal organic framework (MOF) and covalent organic framework (COF). The composite was physically coated onto a stainless-steel wire for HS-SPME of PAHs. The established method showed excellent repeatability and reproducibility, with linear ranges of 0.2-50.0 ng mL-1, limits of detection and quantitation ranging from 0.02-0.07 ng mL-1 and 0.07-0.24 ng mL-1, respectively, and relative standard deviations (RSD) for PAHs all less than 7.05%.

Efficient Extraction and Determination of Carbamate Pesticides in Vegetables Based on a Covalent Organic Frameworks with Acylamide Sites

Hongying Guo et al.

Summary: Co-valent organic frameworks (COFs) are emerging porous crystalline organic materials with great potential as adsorbents in contaminant detection in complex samples. In this study, a novel COF-TpDB was designed and synthesized for solid phase extraction of carbamate pesticides. The results demonstrated that COF-TpDB can efficiently extract carbamate pesticides from complex matrices.

Self-assembly of core-shell structured multiwalled nanotubes@covalent organic frameworks composite for solid-phase extraction of four phytohormones from fruit juices

Dayu Yang et al.

Summary: Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) have garnered significant attention in sample pretreatment due to their unique characteristics. However, their submicron or micron size has limited their applications in solid-phase extraction (SPE). In this study, multiwalled nanotubes (MWNTs) were used to synthesize core-shell structured MWNTs@COFs composites (MWNTs@SNW-1) via a simple self-assembly method. The resulting MWNTs@SNW-1 composite exhibited high BET surface area, thermal stability, and adsorption capacity. It was used as an adsorbent in cartridge-based SPE to extract four phytohormones before their levels were determined using high-performance liquid chromatography.

Hydroxyl-functionalized three-dimensional covalent organic framework for selective and rapid extraction of organophosphorus pesticides

Mei-Lan Du et al.

Summary: The study introduces a novel three-dimensional covalent organic framework (3D COF-OH) as an adsorbent for organophosphorus pesticides (OPPs). The developed method, coupled with gas chromatography-flame thermionic detection (GC-FTD), enables rapid and selective analysis of OPPs with good precision and recovery rates.

Sulfonated perylene-based conjugated microporous polymer as a high-performance adsorbent for photo-enhanced uranium extraction from seawater

Fengtao Yu et al.

Summary: The development of high-efficiency adsorbents for uranium extraction from seawater is hindered by poor adsorption performance and saturated adsorption. A sulfonated perylene-based conjugated microporous polymer adsorbent (PyB-SO3H) was prepared to overcome these limitations and achieve nearly 90% extraction efficiency. This research offers a unique perspective on improving uranium extraction capacity from seawater.
