Multicolor Biosensor for Trypsin Detection Based on the Regulation of the Peroxidase Activity of Bovine Serum Albumin-Coated Gold Nanoclusters and Etching of Gold Nanobipyramids

Qin Luo et al.

Summary: This study established an innovative multicolor sensor for trypsin detection, based on the regulation of the peroxidase activity of BSA-Au NCs and efficient etching of Au NBPs. The designed sensor has a linear relationship with the logarithm of trypsin concentration, with a detection limit of 0.045 μg/mL. It has been successfully applied to analyze trypsin concentration in human serum samples from healthy individuals and pancreatitis patients.

Mercury emission characteristics and mechanism in the raw mill system of cement clinker production

Guoliang Li et al.

Summary: Cement clinker production is the top emitter of atmospheric mercury in China. The mercury emissions during the mill-off mode account for 35.0%-71.7% of the emissions during the entire cycle, despite the fact that this period only lasts for 5%-17%. Therefore, monitoring and controlling mercury in cement clinker production is crucial.

Isotope signatures of atmospheric mercury emitted from residential coal combustion

Xinyu Li et al.

Summary: This study investigated the isotope signatures of mercury in flue gas emitted from residential coal combustion in two coal-producing areas of Guizhou Province, China. The results showed that there are both mass-dependent fractionation and mass-independent fractionation occurring during the process of residential coal combustion. The negative shifts observed in the isotope signatures of mercury suggest that without air pollution control devices, residential coal combustion can potentially increase atmospheric mercury levels.
