High-order schemes and their error analysis for generalized variable coefficients fractional reaction-diffusion equations

Anshima Singh et al.

Summary: In this manuscript, two high-order schemes, CFDg-sigma and PQS(g-sigma), are developed and analyzed for generalized variable coefficients fractional reaction-diffusion equations. The generalized fractional derivative is approximated using a generalized Alikhanov formula of order (3 - mu). For spatial discretization, a compact operator and parametric quintic splines are used in CFDg-sigma and PQS(g-sigma) schemes, respectively. The stability and convergence analysis of both schemes are thoroughly demonstrated using the discrete energy method. Numeric results of test problems validate the theory and exhibit the efficiency and superiority of the proposed schemes.

A convergent exponential B-spline collocation method for a time-fractional telegraph equation

Anshima Singh et al.

Summary: This work aims to develop and analyze a numerical method for solving a time-fractional telegraph equation of Caputo type. The method combines finite difference method for time discretization and exponential B-spline functions for space discretization. The unique solvability is demonstrated and the convergence of the method is discussed in detail, showing convergence order of O(h(2), delta t). The proposed method is validated through application on two test problems.

Regularity results for solutions of micropolar fluid equations in terms of the pressure

Ines Ben Omrane et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the regularity criteria for the 3D micropolar fluid equations in terms of pressure in weak Lebesgue space. It is proven that the weak solution is regular on (0, T] if the pressure satisfies either the norm IIπIILα,∞(0,T;Lβ,∞(R3)) with 2α+β/3=2 and 32<β<∞ or IIVπIILα,∞(0,T;Lβ,∞(R3)) with 2α+β/3=3 and 1<β<∞ is sufficiently small.

A fully discrete scheme based on cubic splines and its analysis for time-fractional reaction-diffusion equations exhibiting weak initial singularity

Anshima Singh et al.

Summary: The aim of this paper is to design and analyze a robust fully discrete scheme based on cubic splines for numerically solving a time-fractional reaction-diffusion equation (TFRDE) with smooth and non-smooth solutions. The method combines the L1 scheme on a uniform or graded mesh to discretize in time and a cubic spline difference scheme on a uniform mesh to discretize in space. Stability and convergence for both smooth and non-smooth solutions are separately analyzed. Two test problems are considered to demonstrate the validity and authenticity of the proposed method.

Solvability of Langevin equations with two Hadamard fractional derivatives via Mittag-Leffler functions

Mohamed I. Abbas et al.

Summary: In this paper, the solvability of Langevin equations with two Hadamard fractional derivatives is discussed. The solutions of the equivalent Volterra integral equation in terms of Mittag-Leffler functions are studied. The existence and uniqueness of solutions are established using Schauder's fixed point theorem and Banach's fixed point theorem, respectively. An example is provided to illustrate the main results.

Approximation of Caputo-Prabhakar derivative with application in solving time fractional advection-diffusion equation

Deeksha Singh et al.

Summary: This work aims to numerically approximate the Caputo-Prabhakar derivative and use it to solve the time-fractional advection-diffusion equation defined in the Caputo-Prabhakar sense. Two schemes are proposed to approximate the time-fractional derivative using different interpolation functions, and their convergence order and analytical error bounds are discussed. Numerical examples validate the feasibility and stability of these schemes.

Novel Evaluation of Fuzzy Fractional Helmholtz Equations

Meshari Alesemi et al.

Summary: The article discusses the fuzzy new iterative transform approach, which combines a fuzzy hybrid methodology and an iterative transformation technique. By obtaining fractional fuzzy Helmholtz equations with initial fuzzy conditions using the Caputo derivative under generalized Hukuhara differentiability, the consistency of the strategy is established. The outcomes are approximated in fuzzy form through three challenges, where the upper and bottom halves of the fuzzy solution are approximated using two different fractional orders between 0 and 1 in each of the three examples.

On the Hybrid Fractional Differential Equations with Fractional Proportional Derivatives of a Function with Respect to a Certain Function

Mohamed Abbas et al.

Summary: This paper discusses a class of hybrid fractional differential equations with fractional proportional derivatives with respect to a continuously differentiable and increasing function theta. An existence result is proved using a hybrid fixed point theorem for a product of two operators. The sufficient conditions for the continuous dependence on the given parameters are also investigated, and a simulative example is provided to demonstrate the acquired outcomes.
