A carbide-reinforced Re0.5MoNbW(TaC)0.8 eutectic high-entropy composite with outstanding compressive properties

Q. Q. Wei et al.

Summary: In this study, a high strength-ductile matching Re0.5MoNbW(TaC)(0.8) eutectic high-entropy composite was fabricated and demonstrated excellent mechanical properties that exceed previously reported refractory high-entropy alloys and HECs. The study suggests a strategy to design strong and ductile HECs for high-temperature applications.
