This short communication presents the developed as-cast CoCrNi-based eutectic high entropy alloy, which achieved a balance between strength and ductility by adjusting the valence electron concentration. The alloy consists of a face-centered cubic (FCC) phase, an ordered B2 phase, and precipitates. The dislocation pile-up at the FCC/B2 interface provides a balance between strength and ductility over a wide temperature range.
This short communication elucidates the developed as-cast CoCrNi-based eutectic high entropy alloy by prefixing valence electron concentration to balance strength and ductility. The developed EHEA includes a face-centered cubic (FCC) phase, ordered B2 phase, and precipitates. The dislocation pile-up at the FCC/B2 interface balances the strength and ductility in a wide temperature range.
