A transparent conductor with an aluminum-doped zinc oxide (AZO)/Ag/Cu structure was developed for extracting power from transparent photovoltaics. The Cu layer acts as a seed layer for the growth of the Ag film. The AZO layer enhances the optoelectrical properties of Cu/Ag. The proposed Cu/Ag/AZO transparent conductor enables the development of transparent and flexible NiO/ZnO-based photovoltaics with a power conversion efficiency of 1.14%. This system shows promise for cost-effective and high-performance flexible optoelectronics.
A transparent conductor with aluminum-doped zinc oxide (AZO)/Ag/Cu structure was developed and applied for extracting power from transparent photovoltaics. The Cu layer serves as seed layer for the two-dimensional growth of an Ag film. The AZO layer is used to enhance the optoelectrical properties of Cu/Ag. The AZO/Ag/ Cu film exhibits a high visible transmittance of 83.1% and a sheet resistance of 18 omega/. Importantly, the proposed Cu/Ag/AZO transparent conductor enables the development of transparent and flexible NiO/ZnO-based photovoltaics with a power conversion efficiency of 1.14%. These results shows that the present system may be a promising platform for cost-effective and high-performance flexible optoelectronics.
