Influence of Cardiac Remodeling on Clinical Outcomes in Patients With Aortic Regurgitation

Maan Malahfji et al.

Summary: This study evaluated the association of cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) findings with outcomes in aortic regurgitation (AR) patients. The study found that left ventricular end-systolic volume (LVES) ≥ 43 mL/m2 and indexed left ventricular end-diastolic volume ≥ 109 mL/m2 were independently associated with outcomes. CMR can be used to guide management in asymptomatic AR patients with preserved left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF).
