Analysis of Difenoconazole Content in Lake Water-Quality Testing

Yinshan Yu et al.

Summary: This paper presents a method for detecting the concentration of difenoconazole in lake water quality detection based on spectrophotometry. Prediction models were established using various parameters to detect the concentration of difenoconazole. The results showed a good linear correlation between the concentration of difenoconazole and total nitrogen and ammonia nitrogen. Verification tests on different concentrations of liquids confirmed the accuracy of the measurement method, with the predicted concentration of difenoconazole close to the actual value. The high prediction correlation coefficient and small standard error of prediction meet the requirements of actual testing.

Research on COD measurement method based on UV-Vis absorption spectra of transmissive and reflective detection systems

Xin Xu et al.

Summary: The rapid industrialization and population expansion worldwide have resulted in water pollution, causing significant disruptions to human, animal, and plant activities. Traditional methods for evaluating organic contamination in water typically require additional reagents and suffer from secondary contamination and extended detection time. In this study, a reflective detection system that measures the UV-Vis absorption spectra of chemical oxygen demand (COD) in water without contact measurement is proposed and implemented. Modeling results of the transmissive and reflective detection systems were compared using three regression analysis algorithms, and various spectral preprocessing and feature selection bands were assessed. The results confirm the viability of the reflective detection system, achieving an impressive coefficient of determination (R-2) of 0.98892, a root mean square error (RMSE) of 2.86776, and a detection time of only 47.6 s for COD detection. The transmissive detection system also showed promising results with an R-2 of 0.99976, an RMSE of 0.41979, and a detection time of 162.4 s. Overall, this study proposes two adaptable COD detection methods for different job demands.

Plasmon-enhanced fluorimetric and colorimetric dual sensor based on fluorescein/Ag nanoprisms for sensitive determination of mancozeb

Afrooz Zandi et al.

Summary: A dual sensor utilizing fluorescence and colorimetric detection was developed for mancozeb detection, utilizing the shape transformation of AgNPRs as the sensing mechanism. The sensor successfully measured mancozeb in fruit juice samples by restoring fluorescence intensity and SPR wavelength shift proportional to mancozeb concentration.

A review of water quality index models and their use for assessing surface water quality

Md. Galal Uddin et al.

Summary: The water quality index (WQI) model is a popular tool for evaluating surface water quality, converting extensive data into a single index. While commonly used, the model faces issues such as specificity to regional guidelines and uncertainty in data conversion. This paper compares commonly used WQI models and discusses issues affecting model accuracy.

Toxicological Comparison of Mancozeb and Zoxamide Fungicides at Environmentally Relevant Concentrations by an In Vitro Approach

Gabriele Lori et al.

Summary: Mancozeb and zoxamide showed cytotoxicity in HepG2 and A549 cells at high concentrations, with slightly different mechanisms of action but no increase in intracellular reactive oxygen species. While Mancozeb exhibited genotoxicity, Zoxamide did not induce DNA damage, yet both had aneugenic potential.
