Summary: The study retrospectively analyzed 8 patients who underwent direct or combined STA-MCA bypass, showing that the procedure is safe and effective for patients with symptomatic steno-occlusive disease with impaired distal perfusion who fail optimal medical or endovascular treatment. Most patients remained stable or improved clinically postoperatively.
