Analytical Aspects of Novel Techniques Derived from Square-Wave Voltammetry

Dariusz Guziejewski et al.

Summary: Recently introduced novel voltammetric and chronoamperometric techniques derived from square-wave voltammetry (SWV) are being studied for their analytical utility. Three voltammetric protocols and square-wave chronoamperometry are described and tested for their analytical performance. The novel techniques exhibit improved analytical performance compared to standard electrochemical measurements, providing a basis for advanced analysis and applications.

Reversible and Quasireversible Electron Transfer under Conditions of Differential Square-Wave Voltammetry

Dariusz Guziejewski et al.

Summary: This paper presents a theoretical analysis of reversible and quasireversible electrode reactions of a dissolved redox couple under the conditions of differential square-wave voltammetry (DSWV), a recently introduced hybrid technique combining the advantages of differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) and square-wave voltammetry (SWV). The potential modulation of DSWV involves potential steps and pulses, providing a variety of voltammetric curves that allow for a comprehensive characterization of the electrode reaction with a minimal number of measurements. Based on numerical simulations, criteria for characterizing and differentiating between reversible and quasireversible electrode reactions are established.

SURFACE CATALYTIC MECHANISM: THEORETICAL STUDY UNDER CONDITIONS OF DIFFERENTIAL SQUARE-WAVE VOLTAMMETRY

Rubin Gulaboski et al.

Summary: Differential square-wave voltammetry (DSWV) is an improved version of square-wave voltammetry (SWV), designed to enhance the performance of the technique in analytical and kinetic applications. It improves the voltammetric features of the forward and backward current components, particularly for slow electrode reactions.

Continuous Square Wave Voltammetry for High Information Content Interrogation of Conformation Switching Sensors

Sanduni W. Abeykoon et al.

Summary: Square wave voltammetry is a voltammetric technique that measures Faradaic current while minimizing non-Faradaic processes. Continuous square wave voltammetry enhances information acquisition and is useful for conformation switching and nucleic acid sensors.
